    That follows CD chasing 148 with three balls to spare in an 18-over rain-reduced match to beat Auckland by five wickets in Napier - Brett Randell returned figures of three for 25.

    Wellington can pip Canterbury to the final spot if they beat ND at the Basin Reserve today.

    Conversely, in the women's competition, ND can oust Auckland from finals contention if they beat Wellington, who have already reached the last three alongside Otago.
