    A person has been airlifted to Waikato hospital in a serious condition following a crash in the Karangahake Gorge


    A two-vehicle collision has closed State Highway 2, near School Road in Waikino, near Waihi, just before 1pm.

    St John says ambulances are taking two patients to hospital with moderate injuries - another two were treated at the scene.
