Police are releasing more details about last month's home invasion and subsequent death in Wellington, and making a fresh appeal for information

Police are releasing more details about last month's home invasion and subsequent death in Wellington, and making a fresh appeal for information

In the early hours of March 17, an intruder broke into a home in Miramar, and fled after a scuffle with the homeowner.

A short time later, a 63-year-old man was found fatally hurt on the roadside.

A 28-year-old's been charged with aggravated burglary, but Police are yet to definitively link the two incidents.

They now want to speak to the owner of a Grey or Silver Mazda 6, which was seen driving in the area several times that night.

More curiously, Police say two items were left at the burglary scene including a hat with a swastika on the front, and some woman's gumboots that may have been stolen from another nearby property.
