    Senior Northland medical and dental officers are striking from today until 10am tomorrow - over pay disputes


    The 240 Association of Salaried Medical Specialists voted 83 percent in favour of the strike.

    Senior staff began with a mass walkout from Whangarei Hospital - kicking of region-wide picketing.

    Elective surgeries will be cancelled, but life preserving services maintained.
