It was a busy night for fire crews

Fire and Emergency were called to the blaze on Allandale Road in Dunedin just before three this morning.

A number of people were evacuated from the building - with two taken to hospital with minor to moderate injuries.

There were 26 firefighters at the scene at the peak of the fire.

Further north, crews called to a property in Mahora in Hastings just before two this morning - and a blaze in Levin just after four o'clock.
