Gwyneth Paltrow's style "hasn't changed much" over the years

The actress-turned-wellness guru first ventured into clothing design when she launched G. Label through her lifestyle brand Goop and she's now rebranded the fashion side of her business by launching a new line called Gwyn, which drops later this month, and she's revealed the new collection is reminiscent of the clothes she would wear during her upbringing in New York City

She told The Times newspaper: "I am in it [G. Label clothes] all day, every day. I want to make things I can wear all day.

"When I started G Label I was still dropping people off at car pool, then going to the office, then maybe going to a book thing or whatever, and I wanted to be kind of chic and comfortable and appropriate all day like so ...

"I have a style that hasn't really changed that much. I mean the silhouettes change, but ultimately I was raised on the Upper East Side [of New York] mixing preppy button-downs with my own kind of stuff, and GWYN reflects that."

Gwyneth also spoke to Vogue about the new collection, explaining: "We wanted to bring it more into the fashion conversation without being alienating or too avant garde. But a little more international, a little less California.

"We recently upgraded our whole [Goop] site and did a big refresh, and I thought to myself, this is really the time to make the change.

"This part of the business is extremely personal to me. I spend the most creative time on this part of the business, and I wanted it to feel more reflective of that. And I love a four letter word."

She also revealed the designs are inspired by travel and many of the pieces have a British feel after she spent years living in London.

Gwyneth added: "Some of the things really come from my time as an expat living in London."

The first part of the collection features 36 styles - including cashmere and wool sweaters, knitted polos and a peacoat - which are all sourced and produced in Italy. It launches on the Goop website on September 21.
