    The Steelers have snatched a berth in the playoffs of rugby's NPC


    Counties Manukau have beaten hosts Tasman 49-41, in something of a defensive mostly optional final round fixture in Nelson.

    The result helps Counties snatch the eighth and final spot for the quarterfinals - relegating Northland to ninth on the ladder.
