Brittany Cartwright has split from Brandon Hanson

She said on the When Reality Hits podcast: "We actually did not last.

"We were very good friends before we started dating. It was kind of like a whirlwind relationship. It went into the public way sooner than we ever would have wanted it to."

Despite this, Brittany insists that she doesn't harbour any ill will towards Brandon.

The reality star also explained that the relationship ended "amicably".

She said: "We still care a lot about each other.

"It ended amicably, but I just could not do the long distance and he's got a lot of obligations with his three kids and jobs, and we lived three hours away, so it was just too tough to keep it going. We really cared about each other. Hopefully, we can remain friends, but it's just something I didn't see that was going to be able to continue in the future."

Brittany split from her husband Jax Taylor in early 2024, and he previously confessed to having had a "superiority complex" over his estranged wife.

The 46-year-old TV star admitted that he "never wanted to take any accountability" for his actions because he was older than Brittany.

Speaking on In the Mind of Jax Taylor, he shared: "I didn't seek help when I should have, when she told me to. I didn't wanna hear it.

"And men, I believe ... are very stubborn. And I'm a very stubborn human being - I'm not wrong, she's wrong, you know?

"I never wanted to take any accountability for my actions because like I said, I'm older. I know more than you. You don't know anything.

"I had that mentality because she was a lot younger than me."

Jax also admitted that he struggled to be open and honest with his wife, suggesting that it ultimately undermined their relationship.

He said: "I was afraid to talk to Brittany about a lot of things, not only because of her reactions, but as a man, I felt very vulnerable and weak.

"I just don't like to ask for help."
