    American Magic is putting its new AC 75 boat Patriot through it's paces for a third day out on Auckland's Waitemata Harbour as it looks to get a jump on its rival America's Cup challengers


    The New York Yacht Club entry became the first Challenger to launch last Friday with INEOS Team UK following suit the next day closely followed by Luna Rossa.

    The Brits and Italians are expected to sail for the first time by the end of the week.

    American Magic CEO Terry Hutchinson says every day they can get on the water before December's Christmas Cup regatta is critical.
