One condition of the event is that vessels must have been designed before 1988
Malingri completed the leg from Cape Town alongside his first mate - and son - Nico.
Malingri's father and uncle took part in the inaugural 1973 edition.
Maiden is the fourth boat into port this morning - 10 others remain en route.
