A 6th Golden moment for New Zealand's most decorated Olympian

A 6th Golden moment for New Zealand's most decorated Olympian

Kayaker Lisa Carrington has claimed gold in the K4 500, with teammates Alicia Hoskin, Olivia Brett and Tara Vaughan.

Germany inched into the lead just after the halfway mark, but a final spurt from NZ saw them home.

The New Zealand men's K4-500 boat finished last in their A final.

Max Brown and Grant Clancy - two members of the crew - placed a distant last again in the B final of the C-2 500.

Sailors Erica Dawson and Micah Wilkinson have won bronze in the mixed multi-hull class off the coast of Marseille.

They were eighth in the double points medal race - but importantly ahead of Britain, who were disqualified at the start line to fall out of the reckoning.

Lydia Ko sits third in the women's golf competition, after shooting a five under par 67 second round.

Ko's five-under overall, three shots off leader Morgane Metraux of Switzerland.

New Zealand's Julian David has been eliminated from the men's speed climbing event, at the quarter final stage, losing to world record holder Sam Watson of the United States.

Maddi Wesche has qualified for the women's shot put final on Saturday morning.

She's recorded the second best distance at 19.25 metres with her second attempt in qualifying.

James Preston has finished sixth in the repechage round of the men's 800 metres ... bringing down the curtain on his Olympic campaign.
