    Luna Rossa are out of the running for the America's Cup and their infamous Aussie skipper is retiring... but Jimmy Spithill's fired one last shot across the bows of old rival Team New Zealand


    Ineos Britannia edged Spithill's Italian syndicate 7-4 in the Louis Vuitton challenger series final in Barcelona today.

    And the 45 year old thinks Sir Ben Ainslie can go all the way and lift the Auld Mug - for the first time.



    The America's Cup proper starts in a week.
