    A Waikato dairy farmer has been charged with ill treatment of animals - after breaking the tails of more than 150 cows


    The 43-year-old man has been banned from owning cattle for three years.

    He was sentenced to four months community detention and 150 hours' community work - and made to pay almost a thousand dollars in vet bills.
