The sudden death of a West Auckland baby on Tuesday has been called a tragedy

The sudden death of a West Auckland baby on Tuesday has been called a tragedy

It's the second infant death at the Ranui property in the past two years.

Police are making enquiries on behalf of the coroner, after a post-mortem was completed yesterday.

Local Councillor Shane Henderson says it was painful news to hear.

He says as a father himself, he can't imagine the sense of grief and loss rippling through the entire whanau, and the community's feeling the same way.
