A person has died after a two vehicle crash on Auckland's Upper Queen Street last night

Emergency services were called to the scene, near Ian McKinnon Drive around 7pm.

It takes the Matariki road toll to three - after two people died in a crash in Queenstown Lakes District on Thursday night.

    That equals last year's tally.
