The owner of a home hit by a car in Auckland's Albany - thought it was an earthquake

Police say the car ended stuck over a three-metre drop between the house and a retaining wall on Fairview Avenue, just before 8 last night.

Ross Cranston says a quiet evening with his two daughters, was shattered by a massive bang, and the house shook.

He says the car crashed above his daughter's head, with a man still sitting in the car.
