The trial of Phillip Polkinghorn for his wife's murder continues in the High Court in Auckland today

The trial of Phillip Polkinghorn for his wife's murder continues in the High Court in Auckland today

The Auckland eye doctor is accused of murdering Pauline Hanna, in 2021 - who his defence maintains killed herself.

Yesterday the court heard from close friend Stephen MacIntyre and an energy expert who gave evidence on the home's power usage.

NewstalkZB's Chelsea Daniels says they also heard from ESR forensic scientists on the toxicology of Hanna's body.

She says 27-milligrams per 100-mil of alcohol was found in her blood, legal drugs were also found but no meth was in her system.

The trial's now heard from the majority of the Crown's witnesses.
