A failed bid to get to Europe has culminated in Australian football forward Stefan Colakovski signing with the Wellington Phoenix

The 24-year-old has inked a one-year A-League deal, following stints with Perth Glory and Melbourne City.

Colakovski says he wants to get stuck in following uncertainty.

Colakovski emerges as a replacement for Marco Rojas, who's likely to miss the start of the season through injury.
