    A Christchurch taxi driver has suffered critical injuries, after being stabbed several times


    The man arrived at McDonald's on Memorial Ave around 10.30pm, seeking help from staff.

    Police say an Auckland woman was arrested at a nearby hotel ... the 46-year-old will front court today.

    There will be an ongoing police presence in the Spitfire Square area today.

    A McDonald's spokesperson says the restaurant is open, after shutting for short period last night.
