Witness statements have begun at the murder trial of Tingjun Cao in Christchurch

Witness statements have begun at the murder trial of Tingjun Cao in Christchurch

The Crown is accusing him of stabbing Yanfei Bao in July last year, as she showed him around a property.

Her body was found buried more than a year later.

Detective in charge of exhibits, Constable Andrew Calder, is speaking first, followed by Bao's partner, Paul Gooch.

Court was delayed this morning - while yesterday's opening addresses were being translated for the defendant
