    An Auckland woman has been charged with misconduct in respect of human remains


    It follows a Herald investigation into a former employee at Tipene Funerals.

    Police say the allegation relates to burials at Waikumete Cemetery.

    A 48-year-old woman was taken into custody yesterday, and also faces nine charges of obtaining by deception.

    She will appear before the Auckland District Court on Friday.
