    Kiwis prop Griffin Neame's thrown his weight behind calls for a second New Zealand NRL club to be based in Christchurch


    The 23-year-old West Coaster is one of five players with South Island roots playing in Sunday's sold out test against the Kangaroos in Addington.

    Three different groups are working on bids to join the competition as it seeks expansion to 20 teams.

    Neame - who plays for the Cowboys in North Queensland - reckons Christchurch would be an undoubted success.
