Auckland homeowners are being warned of an increase in thieves targeting open homes

Auckland homeowners are being warned of an increase in thieves targeting open homes

Police in West Auckland and the North Shore are asking sellers to consider locking down their valuables prior to opening their doors.

They're aware of three recent burglaries, including one where a 20-thousand-dollar ring was taken, while another saw a vehicle stolen after the spare key was taken.

People are asked to remain vigilant and monitor people entering and looking around.
