Auckland's Wynyard Crossing bridge has once again closed to pedestrians.. following an issue with a sensor

Auckland's Wynyard Crossing bridge has once again closed to pedestrians.. following an issue with a sensor

The structure connects Wynyard Quarter with the Viaduct - saving a 20-minute walk around... and HAD been closed for repairs since March.

It re-opened on Friday - but Auckland Council spokeswoman Lisa Franklin says a project team is now working to fix the latest problem.

She says when there is a problem... the spans are legally required be left upright to allow marine traffic to move through the area.

The council is hoping to have it operating again tomorrow morning.
