A poignant weekend for Christchurch with Electric Avenue showcasing how far the city has come, 14 years since the earthquakes

A poignant weekend for Christchurch with Electric Avenue showcasing how far the city has come, 14 years since the earthquakes

Seventy-thousand people descended on Hagley Park for the now two-day music festival on Friday and Saturday.

Business Canterbury Chief Executive Leeann Watson says there has been so much development in the city for people to see.

She says it was obviously a day of reflection, but also an opportunity to showcase Christchurch and look forward.

Festival promoter Callam Mitchell says it's great to be a part of the city's growth, as it leaves the post-quake rebuild era.
