Evidence in the High Court that the 14-year-old boy accused of murdering a 16-year-old at Dunedin's bus hub, chased him down the street before stabbing him

Evidence in the High Court that the 14-year-old boy accused of murdering a 16-year-old at Dunedin's bus hub, chased him down the street before stabbing him

Enere McLaren-Taana died on Great King Street last May

The boy accused has pleaded not guilty and chosen to testify in his own defence.

According to the ODT, Crown Prosecutor Robin Bates claims he pursued the victim 12 metres down the street, before the fatal blow.

Bates says the boy was trying his best to stab the victim with a knife - as he missed the first time, and succeeded in the second attempt.

The defendant denies any vicious intent.
