A verdict - in the trial of a Dunedin teen who fatally stabbed another boy at the city's bus hub

A verdict - in the trial of a Dunedin teen who fatally stabbed another boy at the city's bus hub

The 14-year-old -- who has permanent name suppression -- has been found guilty of manslaughter.

16-year-old Enere Taana-McLaren died last May.

The jury has made a ruling - after a third day of deliberations at the High Court.

The red-eyed defendant smiled at the jury - after the verdict was delivered.

His defence argued the stabbing was self-defence, but the Crown asserted it was deliberate and intentional.
