The Blues have responded to harsh words from coach Vern Cotter with a bonus point 40-19 win over the Western Force in Auckland

The Blues have responded to harsh words from coach Vern Cotter with a bonus point 40-19 win over the Western Force in Auckland

Challenged to be better in the defence of their Super Rugby title, the Blues put together a six-tries-to-three victory as they jumped to sixth on the table.

Captain Patrick Tuipulotu says Cotter's criticism was valid and he was pleased with the way his side reacted.
