Public submissions on the future of Auckland's Western Springs stadium, have now closed

Public submissions on the future of Auckland's Western Springs stadium, have now closed

Aucklanders had until late last night to choose their preference from three proposals.

A Hollywood bowl style stadium backed by Auckland FC, a multi-purpose sport and entertainment venue backed by the Ponsonby Rugby Club, or a reassessment.

Just a week ago, Auckland City Council had already received more than nine-thousand submissions.

The project team will now spend the rest of the month reviewing the feedback, before the Governing Body considers responses at the end of July.
