A Canterbury University rowing club's doing an internal review after a rower allegedly threw and killed a crayfish, at a Christchurch restaurant

Video taken at Riccarton's Madam Kwong's BYO restaurant - shows a customer grabbing the creature from a large tank, and hurling it into the carpark.

Police say they're making inquiries into a drunk individual killing a crayfish, and refusing to pay.

The Rowing Club says the behaviour at a club event doesn't reflect its values - and it sincerely apologises.
