Shovels are in the ground, for construction on a district court in Auckland's Papakura

Shovels are in the ground, for construction on a district court in Auckland's Papakura

Justice Minister Paul Goldsmith and Courts Minister Nicole McKee say the new site will help speed up court processes.

It's expected to open in early 2027 -- with an estimated current construction budget of 34 million dollars.

Half the building's being built off-site, aiming to save time and costs.
