Timaru dessert company Denheath is in deep custard with creditors

A liquidator's report reveals the family-owned manufacturer owes more than 650- thousand dollars.

It's famed for its custard squares, but slid into liquidation in August, citing Covid, economic conditions, and export issues.

Its products have sold in more than 53 Costco outlets in NZ, Australia, Korea and Japan.

The report noted various purchasers have expressed an interest in the business.
