Central Otago District Council's addressing public concerns about a councillor from seven years ago

Central Otago District Council's addressing public concerns about a councillor from seven years ago

It's been made aware of worries regarding Vincent Ward councillor-elect Dave McKenzie, relating to alleged unethical conduct while he worked as a contractor for the council.

The council's reviewing findings from a previous investigation.

Mayor Tamah Alley says she's taking the allegations seriously.

She says any information held by the council will be released through the appropriate channels - but adds McKenzie met all eligibility requirements set by the Electoral Officer to run for office.
