The organisers of Rangiora's Muscle Car Madness Show are raising money to grow the grass back - after the weekend's event damaged the show grounds

The organisers of Rangiora's Muscle Car Madness Show are raising money to grow the grass back - after the weekend's event damaged the show grounds

Over the weekend, car enthusiasts gathered for the 36th muscle car event - which caused headaches for Canterbury Police - with 11 vehicles seized and one arrest.

Organisers have raised more than two-thousand dollars in 12 hours on Givealittle - to grow the grass damaged by car activities and wet weather.

They know the weather was out of everyone's control, but some of the driving was not.

Organisers appreciate their long standing relationship with the grounds and would never find another location like it.
