A popular Wanaka bay is out of bounds to swimmers - following a wastewater spill

Queenstown Lakes District Council has temporarily closed Bremner Bay on Lake Wanaka to public swimming and paddling as a precaution.

This morning's wastewater spill was caused by a network blockage - which has been fixed.

Kellys Flat Recreational Reserve has also been cordoned off.
