Liquidators have been appointed for a Christchurch-based investment company - that's being investigated by the Serious Fraud Office

Penrich Capital Limited - which manages the Penrich Global Macro Fund - went into liquidation last week.

It came after the SFO announced it was looking into the Cayman Islands-based fund.

McGrathNicol has been appointed as liquidators.

Accountant Kare Johnstone says the fund's been frozen after serious irregularities were found - and Penrich's office has been closed.
