Taranaki will stick to a winning formula in today's Ranfurly Shield defence against Otago in the Mitre 10 Cup

Taranaki will stick to a winning formula in today's Ranfurly Shield defence against Otago in the Mitre 10 Cup

The Naki took the shield off Canterbury last week, with a particularly strong performance in the forwards led by in-form loosie Lachlan Boshier .

They out-muscled a red and blacks pack that featured six former or current All Blacks.

Taranaki assistant coach Jarrad Hoeata says they will make the forwards their focus.

Kick off's at 2:05pm, with Auckland hosting Manawatu at the same time.

Later Counties Manukau entertain Northland in Pukekohe at 4:35.
