A post mortem examination is scheduled after the death of a man in Te Awamutu on Tuesday night

A post mortem examination is scheduled after the death of a man in Te Awamutu on Tuesday night

Police and St John called to a disorder incident on Te Rahu Road just before midnight - found a man unconscious, who later died.

Police aren't seeking anyone else in relation to the death, but expect a post-mortem will inform next steps.

Charges were considered for a 27-year-old-man and 35-year-old woman found at the scene, but they were later released.

Police are still hoping to speak with witnesses.
