It has been revealed a young German woman killed in an Auckland workplace accident was crushed to death by a 330 kilogram metal gate

It has been revealed a young German woman killed in an Auckland workplace accident was crushed to death by a 330 kilogram metal gate

26-year-old Jennifer Reschke was found unresponsive by a colleague with the gate on top of her in May 2023.

A Worksafe investigation shows she was working at a multi-million dollar home on West End Road in Westmere, at the time of the accident.

Rescuers pulled her free and tried to resuscitate her but she was declared dead at the scene.

The report reveals she died from traumatic asphyxia and no one has been prosecuted for the death.
