    Wellington Phoenix coach Giancarlo Italiano admits the international break acted as a double edged sword for his A-League football side


    The Nix host Macarthur in the capital this evening - with captain Alex Rufer set to start, freshly back in the country after time away with the All Whites.

    Italiano says the period without matches helped eleviate some injury niggles but came at an average time, off the back of a loss to an under-manned Auckland FC side.
