A North Canterbury man accused of spraying around 500 graffiti tags across the South Island, is due in court today

A North Canterbury man accused of spraying around 500 graffiti tags across the South Island, is due in court today

The graffiti appeared on bridges, bins, train tracks, walkways and even former gun emplacements throughout Kaikoura, Canterbury and Dunedin.

In some instances, spots were re-tagged after the council cleaned them.

Police say the offending was often filmed and posted online.

A 23-year-old will appear in Christchurch District Court today on charges including wilful damage with graffiti.
