Hopes are lifting among Auckland businesses for the economic recovery

Auckland Business Chamber's survey shows positive sentiment has doubled to 32 percent since November, its strongest level since 2022.

Over half of businesses expect the economy to improve over the next 12 months.

CEO Simon Bridges says political parties should take note.

He says businesses are looking for election year policies, with disciplined Government spending, focus on productivity and measures supporting demand.
