Police had to respond to Christchurch's Papanui High School after a group of students displayed intimidating behaviour

Police had to respond to Christchurch's Papanui High School after a group of students displayed intimidating behaviour

Officers attended yesterday morning following reports of disorder on campus.

Principal Robert Gilbert told parents the students refused staff instructions, creating an unsafe environment.

He says other students stayed in classrooms while the disruption was dealt with by staff.

No injuries were reported - and the school's now handling the incident through formal disciplinary processes.
