Former world number one Adam Scott has rocketed into contention for a 15th US PGA Tour victory, after a scintillating second round at the latest event in Las Vegas

Scott's shot two back-nine eagles, and seven birdies, to post a nine-under par 63 to join Jordan Spieth, Harry Higgs and Kim Seong-hyeon in a four-way tie for second.

They're five shots off leader Keith Mitchell, who's on 18-under after two rounds.

Meanwhile, New Zealand's Ryan Fox heads into tonight's third round of the European Tour's Andalucia Masters in Spain in a three-way tie for second, one shot off the lead.
