    Justin Thomas has needed three playoff holes to seal victory at the latest PGA Tour event in Hawaii


    The American carded a four-under 69 final round to finish tied with compatriots Patrick Reed and Xander Schauffele on 14-under.

    That forced them to replay the 18th, with Schauffele out in the first round, as he bogeyed the par-four.

    Thomas and Reed both bogeyed it on their second playoff, before the former made par, as the latter bogeyed it on the third.
