The Kiwi player's fired a third round of one-under par 71 to move into a tie for eighth at the famous Carnoustie - seven shots behind leader KJ Choi of South Korea.

The Roosters have regained their spot in the top three after hanging on for an unconvincing 34-30 win over Manly in league's NRL.

The Cowboys are up to sixth after beating Cronulla 30 to 22 - while the now fifth-placed Bulldogs have turned on an impressive display to dispatch the Broncos 41-16 in Brisbane.

A dominant Max Verstappen qualifying display - but the reigning world champ won't be on pole for Formula One's Belgian Grand Prix .

The Red Bull ace has finished more than half-a-second faster than Ferrari's Charles Leclerc - but will start from 11th due to a 10-place grid penalty exceeding his season engine allowance.
