A coroner has held a pre-inquest conference about the circumstances surrounding the death of Pauline Hanna in Auckland's Remuera

A coroner has held a pre-inquest conference about the circumstances surrounding the death of Pauline Hanna in Auckland's Remuera

71 year-old Philip Polkinghorne was acquitted in September of murdering Hanna, his wife, after an eight-week trial at the High Court in Auckland.

The conference minutes list the current interested parties as Polkinghorne, and Pauline Hanna's siblings Bruce and Tracey Hanna.

Prior to the meeting Coroner Tania Tetitaha wrote the case involved a suspected self-inflicted death.

But she says this observation is made without considering all questions of the cause and circumstances.
