    Auckland FC are happy to cope with a brief hiatus as they look to expand their dominion into the women's game


    The A-Leagues' governing body has ruled out adding a Black Knights women's team to the competition until the 2027-28 season, due to financial pressures in the dying stages of the current broadcast deal.

    Auckland FC CEO Nick Becker says the delay is basic economics.
