Two people are facing serious charges, after allegedly using Facebook Marketplace to kidnap and rob someone in Auckland last night

The victim had arranged via the social media platform to buy a vehicle

After meeting the seller at an address on Wesley's Holdsworth Avenue, they were allegedly assaulted, robbed and forced to withdraw money from two ATMs.

Police tracked the alleged offenders to a nearby hotel, using a taser to take them into custody.

A 32-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman will appear in Auckland District Court today.
