Some of the biggest names in bowls will step onto the green in Auckland today, as the World Bowls Series comes to New Zealand shores

The competition kicks off at 9am across venues in Auckland, with Howick Bowling Club as the event host and headquarters.

New Zealand bowls legend and recent inductee to the World Bowls Hall of Fame, Peter Belliss, says it's great opportunity to profile the sport here.
